Founder, The Scholar's Loft
After completing my master's in publishing from the UK and landing a job in central London, I made the 'unpopular' decision of returning to my hometown, Calcutta, and exploring the world of Indian academic publishing. But academia called louder. For the past three years, I've mentored hundreds of global students in the abroad education space—crafting application essays that sharpened their critical thinking and turned aspirations into authentic stories.
Then I spotted a 'gap': Kolkata students pursuing international curricula such as IB, IGCSE, and A Levels lack offline havens with experienced tutors. "Why aim for colleges abroad if you're struggling with fundamentals?" That question fueled The Scholars Loft.
I have founded this space for what online can't deliver: real-time expertise, small-batch attention, and in-person interaction that builds personality alongside stellar academics. Having lived and studied abroad, I know firsthand.

With 26 years as an IBDP examiner and Category 3 certified in IB Biology curriculum delivery, Dr. Das has taught at institutions including Mahindra United World College, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Doon School, and Deira International School, Dubai. He holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Biology and an M.Sc. from the University of Calcutta (Presidency College).
